We really have the best job in the world. Sometimes we even get the pleasure of helping show a mother and wife how much she means to her family. Chad’s wanted to surprise his wife Lisa with a new master bedroom suite. He coordinated our appointment while she was outside of the home running errands with their three daughters. That day, I remember being touched by his love for his wife. He told me to make it beautiful for her because she was the most amazing person he had ever met and she deserved something amazing. She had recently purchased new linens and bedding and had the walls painted, but the couple still used Lisa’s childhood bedroom furniture in their master suite. The rest of the home was well-decorated, but it seemed this busy, devoted wife and mother always had other priorities.

Our challenge was designing a space for a woman we had never met! Angela took clues from the rest of the house and created a traditional space with hints of Hollywood glamour. The couple conceived their fourth child, their first boy, shortly after the room makeover. The couple now joke that it was due to the master suite makeover.
